That's right, what came around as a suspicious April fools joke(because the camp date was April 1st) was actually a fantastic opportunity for BatCo's Sporting Director Tristan Long. Last Month Coach Long was invited to link up with US Soccer and Nike FC as the US Women's National Team took on the Republic of Ireland at the Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas. As part of Nike and US Soccer out reach to underserved communities Coach Long help fun a camp for kids in Del Valle I.S.D.

The camp brought out over 120 kids who at the end of the camp where surprised with a Nike goodie Bag that included a Nike soccer ball, Poster and Marker's to color with, and possible the most important part, the kids and the families all received a free ticket to the USA vs Ireland. "It was a great experience for the kids, they all had a blast and coming out and playing all day making new friends. Lots of the kids had not been to a professional game before so they all were super excited to find out they were going to see the US Women's National team play" Said coach Tristan.

On Game day the USA took on The Republic of Ireland which saw some fantastic play and skill from both team with the USA coming away eventual Winners. "The Q2 Stadium is pretty Immaculate, and the energy from the fans was really great, I really hope to be part of this for the next national team match in here and hopefully be able to host it with up here with Temple I.S.D. This experience was great for the community and great for the national team to make an impact here. Best of luck to the team as they continue to prep for World Cup 2023!" Tristan finished with. The Bats have also released their full schedule for this coming WPSL season.
